This fan has various settings; these are adjustable by way of the dip switches located under the cover. The adjustable settings are: delayed timer on\/off, the delayed timer function, you select the amount of run on time after switching the fan off, adjust the level of humidity that activates the fan and you can also turn off the humidity function. It comes factory set and you only need to access the dip switches if you want to change the factory settings. This fan has also been designed to deal with a longer duct run when compared to other axial designed fans. To achieve the longest duct run rigid ducting should be used and not flexible ducting. Where flexible ducting is used the radius of the pipe must be maintained as well as being pulled very tight to reduce resistance.  An extractor fans location in a room is important for it to perform; it ideally needs to be the furthest point away from where the replacement air will enter the toilet, ensuite or bathroom. In most cases the replacement air comes in under the door of the room, important that the undercut on the door meets the Building Regulations for air to flow in.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis fan can be mounted in the wall or the ceiling, where there is reduced depth in a ceiling application then part of the spigot vane on the back of the fan can be removed and reinstalled after the bend.
